Say What You Will--RealAudio
A bluesy, rocking metal-fest from former Motorhead guitarist Fast Eddie Clarke--though it is young vocal phenom Dave King who steals the show. King's voice is hallowed, mysterious, and powerful all at once. Reeking of AC/DC, Ted Nugent, and other strong, no-nonsense rockers of the previous decade, Fastway would begin a short-lived legacy as an underground stronghouse.
"Easy Livin'" and "Feel Me, Touch Me (Do Anything You Want)" are both good upbeat rockers to start things off with. "All I Need is Your Love" romps along with Motor City Madman flavor, whereas "Heft" is total mood.
"We Become One" simply rolls along, powered by strong verse riffs and a mystic chorus, creating a strong Sabbath and Dio feel. "Give it Some Action" has some Fast Eddie strafe action, and the songwriting shines during the chorus of "You Got Me Runnin'".
After all those delights, it's time to enjoy the band's true gem: "Say What You Will". That mean, nasty pull-off riff, meshing into a killer romp groove. Total rock and sass. On your knees, poor boy.
