This Lie - mp3

Frontline is a melodic rock/metal act hailing from Germany, having released their first CD back in 1994. ‘The Seventh Sign’ finds them in a hard rock niche occupied by such acts as Velocity, Big Bad Wolf, and Hardline. The most immediate comparison would be a heavier Journey, as the vocals smack of a more edged Steve Perry. The production is strong, and the songs are dotted with sharp chops and intoxicating melodies. In all, this is a fine hard rock release, and fans of that general sound and genre should enjoy it immensely.
The strong distortion and grinding notes of "You Can’t Tame Me" open the disc, with "This Lie" having a great chorus and a powerful flow throughout. "Like You Do" features that classic, heavy Journey feel, and has the great melody to match. Both "Where’s the Love" and "Melt My Ice" are strong hard rock tunes, and "Getaway," "Take Me Higher," and "Part of My Life" stand out as well.
A bonus track is a cover of Journey’s "Separate Ways" -- it is a chunky rendition, and a tasty treat which is performed admirably.
