Into the Pit--RealAudio
The first post-Priest venture by Rob Halford. The album reminds of Priest a little bit, but only because Halford is on it. There is an industrial-type feel to most of the songs, though not in the techno terms of today. It has some good, heavy cuts, but a fair number of forgettables as well. Again, the music doesn't really sound like Priest; a bit of a more rushed and muddled sound. Highlights include "Into the Pit," "Nailed to the Gun," "Immortal Sin," and the title track---all of which show good energy.
This album is worth getting if you're a huge Priest/Halford fan, but if you're strictly into metal in general, I'd opt for the followup.
