Call of the Night--RealAudio
This is the band's most "metallic"-sounding offering since 'Hold Your Fire'. It's still a bit too removed from the fast-paced tracks and flow of 1990's self-titled
release, but there are some definite good signs here.
There are numerous "love-y" songs, but that's to be expected from the band.
Opener "Jumpin'" and "Take it Off" are
both lively songs, and "I'm in Love This Time" is an energetic romp.
"The Dark" has a sliding, churning riff, and "Call of the Wild" is the disc's heaviest cut. "Unbelievable"
is one of those afore-mentioned "love" songs, but isn't too slow. It has a good, catchy chorus, and actually would have had a strong shot at success as a single.
