Ace Frehley--Trouble Walkin' <1989/Megaforce-Atlantic)
Rating--7.3
Trouble Walkin'--RealAudio
Much better than Ace's two 'Frehley's Comet' offerings, as this is pretty much straight-forward hard rock, often in the vein of
some of his Kiss days. Shock me, baby...
The energetic "Shot Full of Rock" kicks the disc off, to be followed by the late-70s Kiss sound of "Do Ya". Both "Five Card Stud"
and "Lost in Limbo" are solid, and the title song (a cover) brims with injected attitude and groove.
A strong listen from start to finish; it's
good to hear Ace belting and playing once again--in a mold true to his beginnings.
