Enuff Z'Nuff--Enuff Z'Nuff (1989)
Rating--6.7
Smooth, upbeat tunes, as the band would often in its career be pegged as a "metal Cheap Trick." In-genre comparisons may
lean a little towards King's X or Saigon Kick.
Not terribly heavy on this release,
but enough thickness to be considered light metal. Good vocal mixing and blending throughout.
The heavier moments include
"Hot Little Summer Girl" and "Little Indian Angel," while "New Thing" and "Fly High Michelle" are lighter with good flows. "In the
Groove" is just that--slower and methodical.
The band's heaviest release is yet to come, and there is songwriting growth shown in the
future as well.
