The Last Embrace--RealAudio

A couple of tracks on this release break through towards the more power-oriented sound the band will later incorporate, but on the whole things are still just a bit inconsistent. One soft spot that remains is the vocal delivery. They sometimes stretch farther than the music goes, which results in the tones not really matching up in places. It's a small distraction, but one none-the-less. Overall, however, the band continues to improve slightly.
"The Last Embrace" and "Ghoulish Gift" are strong cuts at the album's onset, and other good offerings include "At the Restless Sea," "The Quest(ion)," and the faster "Erase".
