Frehley's Comet--Second Sighting (1988)
Rating--6.5

Better overall, as the band takes a more of a workman-like approach instead of relying as heavily on gimmicks. A fair amount of lighter sounds are mixed in, ala Journey or Foreigner, as keyboardist/songwriter Tod Howarth's presence is definitely felt. Still, heavy enough in places to show up here.
"Insane" starts the disc off with some nice chords, and "Time Ain't Runnin' Out" has a nice rock feel to it. "Loser in a Fight" is both heavy and smooth, with slick vocal trade-offs. "The Acorn is Spinning" is a fast-paced instrumental groove, and rocks in fine fashion.
It ain't Kiss, but it's worth throwing in the disc player once a blue moon or so.
