Mister Please--RealAudio
Overall not as wide-open or expansive as the first release. A number of the songs have similar formats and patterns as the previous effort, but they are not as musically consistent. Still some good tracks, though, and a couple of gems as well.
"Don't Tread On Me" breaks out with a heavy and thick main riff, and backs it up with a grooving chorus. "This Side of Hell" is energetic, "Fifteen Minutes of Fame" holds its own, and the radio-friendly "Where You Goin' Now" is OK.
The disc's centerpiece is the ever-solid "Mister Please". Following a mystical intro, it gives way to a driving kick-in and flowing mainframe verses. Probably the band's best track in its catalog, and responsible for much of this album's rating.
