Drain sth--Freaks of Nature (1999/Mercury)
Rating--8.2

Alive--RealAudio
The sophomore release from this Swedish all-female group, and there are no major changes in the band's sound from the first disc. More Alice in Chains-like vocals, some thick distortion, and good melodies. However, there's not quite as much of the ambient atmoshphere as on the debut, which is a small drawback.
"Enter My Mind" has some good light-to-heavy shifts, and "Alive" is full of solid pull-off rhythms, and a heavy, high-hat driven chorus as well.
A nasty pull-off chorus moves "Black," and all of "Simon Says," "Get Inside," and "Right Through You" are good---with the latter selection being of the slower variety.
