Dream Theater and Fates Warning-influenced prog metal, though not
nearly as riff-heavy. Sort of concerned in dabbling in atmosphere more than just rocking out. But then again, a lot of prog does
that...
"Underworld" stands out with its sharp guitars and spacings, but few others really hold your attention or break new ground.
The faster paced "Cry to Heaven" is nice, and soaring vox blend well in "Horizon".
In all, not really enough from these guys
to rise above the recent number of keyboard-tinged metallers. The bright spots and technical skill are there, however, so a follow-up
may prove more fruitful.
