Tooth and Nail--RealAudio
Bam! A really tough album, given the year of release. The band shows an amazing transition from its debut album to this one, in both musical and songwriting abilities. The guitar sound is very live and razor-sharp---much like Priest, Crue, Ozzy, and other bands from that era. The title track totally rips, as does the end song "Turn on the Action". Other early notables for the band include "Just Got Lucky," "Alone Again" (a good ballad), "Into the Fire," and "When Heaven Comes Down" (another live favorite for the band).
George Lynch was a finalist to be Ozzy's guitarist after Osborne left Sabbath---an honor he ceded to the late great Randy Rhoads. The amazing ability that rivals Rhoads starts to show on this disc.
HOT CHOPS--The moment "Without Warning" clicks over to "Tooth and Nail" is pure power, much like Priest's "Hellion/Electric Eye" transition. You haven't lived until you've seen George rip through that first scale live...
