Shadows of Life--RealAudio
Nice to have some new material from these guys! This album marked the "reunion" stage. After a 6+ year layoff, the sound has changed a bit. Not quite as heavy as when the band left, and the overall structures of the songs aren't as clean-cut as before, with one or two exceptions.
The highlights include the building "Too High to Fly," the atmosphere of "Sweet Chains," and the old-school heaviness of "Shadows of Life" and "Long Way Home."
Despite the changes time has brought, still a very solid and talent-laden album.
HOT CHOPS--Check out the drum roll towards the beginning of "Too High to Fly". Real brief, but timed just right. Also cool is when the guitar kicks in at the start of "Hole in my Head". Groove!
