Rock Rock (Till You Drop)--RealAudio
A more polished, refined sound than the previous offering---without losing too much of the punch. For the most part, this is still fairly
heavy---the band's distortion won't begin to falter until the next release. An immense seller.
"Rock Rock (Till You Drop)"
is a pure, energy-packed opening rocker. Head-moving, with a power chorus.
Three huge hits hail from deeper within, and "Photograph"
is probably the biggest with its drum-driven beat. Not far behind is "Foolin'," bringing in a mystic intro and strong solo. The
third is the sing-along "Rock of Ages," featuring a thick chorus and easy-to-follow verses.
The raw, 'High N' Dry'-ish
"Stagefright" is a treat, as are the steady and solid cuts "Comin' Under Fire" and "Action! Not Words". A great power slowdown
track is offered in the form of "Too Late For Love," which avoids being an all-out ballad because of the band's musical strength at the time.
Closing out the disc is "Billy's Got a Gun," a dark, methodical trip.
Solid.
