Dio--Sacred Heart (1985)
Rating--7.6
**U.S. Sales Certification--Gold**

A host of solid songs, but few really stand out past a catchy chorus or verse. The overall mood on this one is once again "lighter". The sound is still pretty much the same; it's more like the chords are rearranged in a way that the songs just don't feel as heavy, or as dark. Some may prefer this style, but I'll always compare Dio's work to 'Holy Diver,' which is the style Ronnie James seems to shine the brightest with.
Two specific songs catch the ear: "Rock and Roll Children" and the title song. A host of others are solid metal fare ("Hungry For Heaven," "Fallen Angels," etc.), but not memorable in the long run. Despite the few shortcomings, still a must-have for all Dio fans.
