World Keeps Turning Round--RealAudio

Devane is a four-person group hailing from Marietta, Georgia. All of the songs have a distinct feel, and therefore it's hard to really make specific musical comparisons. At times I thought I heard a little (mature) Kiss, at others some smooth and polished WASP... but neither of those are dead-on, as at other times early Fates Warning managed to creep in... though not as prog-influenced. Some of the lead guitar toolings remind of George Lynch's style, and the lead vocals bring to mind a rougher, grittier Ron Taylor (Lillian Axe). In all, a fairly original indie release, and an excellent booklet/packaging as well.
"Prey" has a nice drive, and the bottom-heavy churn of "World Keeps Turning Round" is strong. "Do You?" has a stalking feel to it, with all of "Midnight," "Master's Slave," and "The First Stone" being good as well.
