Bite the Pain-mp3

The band's last studio offering before the death of founder/guitarist/vocalist Chuck Schuldiner (though he would record with Control Denied), this is also arguably their best. There are lots of time and riff changes, and these aspects actually strengthen the band's music when mixed with their hybrid speed/thrash attack. A solid release, and as it turns out a swan song for Schuldiner as a part of the band that helped create a subgenre of music.
The constant "Scavenger of Human Sorrow" meets you at the onset, with the rapid-fire riffing of "Bite the Pain" coming on its heels. A good slow-down chorus marks "Spirit Crusher," while both "Story to Tell" and "A Moment of Clarity" are also good.
A ripping, true rendition of Judas Priest's "Painkiller" is a tasty bonus at disc's end.
