Danger Danger--Four the Hard Way (1998 Low Dice)
Rating--6.8
Sick Little Twisted Mind--RealAudio
The first two tracks on this release were written back in '92, with the others penned right before the release date. The
difference is obvious, as the first two are much heavier and nastier. The remaining selections are lighter, with melody
flavorings ala Enuff Z'Nuff. Not bad material... it's just that the heavier stuff is much more favorable.
"Still Kickin'" has some biting and swift chops, and the nasty "Sick Little Twisted Mind" has a killer slow groove. Now, the
newer stuff...
Really good flows stand out in "Jaded" and "I Don't Need You," and a heavier chorus pops up in "Goin'
Goin' Gone". "The Girl Ain't Built to Sleep Alone" is another good - if unspectacular - track.
Man... if they could release
and entire album like the first two tracks... Talk about a potential comeback!
