Bruce Dickinson--Scream For Me Brazil (1999/Sanctuary)
Rating--8.4
Tears of the Dragon--RealAudio
Following his two most shining solo efforts, and right before his re-enlistment into the Maiden corps, Dickinson springs forth to
release a live disc from the ever-energetic depths of South America. The tracks have the same murky-distortion, slightly toned-down
feel of 'The Chemical Wedding'-- which is the disc that most of these songs are taken from. A loud and boisterous crowd helps
things along, and Bruce is absolutely crystal clear in his delivery.
A number of tracks break forth in solid fare, including
"King in Crimson," "Book of Thel," and "Laughing in the Hiding Bush". The power of numbers is apparent in all of
"Chemical Wedding," "Tears of the Dragon," and "The Tower," as in many places the crowd sings along word for word...
A nice little collection, and a fitting wrap-up to a great chapter of Dickinson's career.
