Death Angel - Frolic Through the Park (1988/Enigma)
Rating - 6.9

The group’s sophomore release is not nearly as no-nonsense and attacking as its debut. There’s still a thrash feel that’s evident most of the time, but the group's somewhat "experimental" stage has definitely begun -- they get a bit quirky in places, ala Suicidal Tendencies, perhaps.
"Road Mutants," "Bored," and "Mind Rape" are all good, and the band also serves up a fairly standard and true cover of Kiss’s "Cold Gin." (The below track listing is based on the original CD release.)
