Death Angel--Act III

Death Angel--Act III (1990) Rating--7.6

This band reminds me a lot of Flotsam and Jetsam and old-school Anthrax though not quite as fast. Good, heavy riffs; a two guitar attack; a very choral vocal approach. Nice work, and a pleasant surprise. I don't really know how else to describe them, though now that I think about it a little more the *music* sounds a bit like Priest as well, but probably only to the die-hard fan. In any case, any fan of power metal would enjoy their work.
Highlights include "Stop", "The Organization", "Stagnant", "Disturbing the Peace", and "Falling Asleep".
HOT CHOPS: Some great riffs throughout, but there are a couple of especially good ones mixed in following the solo in "Stagnant". Great headbanging, neck-breaking stuff.
