Lil' Devil--RealAudio King Contrary Man--RealAudio

A stunning blues-based rock/metal venture. Plenty of attitude mixes well with great riffs, chords, and enough distortion to keep the head moving. Reminds of AC/DC at times, in that while simplistic in nature, there is still undeniable groove and rhythm. Caustic vox, thumping bass, and cymbal-heavy drums complete the package.
Drive and riffs lead the way on opening cuts "Wild Flower," "Peace Dog," and the turn-it-up burner "Lil' Devil," setting the pace for the duration. "King Contrary Man" fits in the same rolling, nonstop mold, and chunky grooves are apparent on "Electric Ocean" and the bluesy romps "Outlaw" and "Memphis Hip Shake".
Somewhat commercial cut "Love Removal Machine" was the band's main single off the disc, and cover "Born to be Wild" is decent as well.
This is straight up rock; the type of stuff that's cranking in those kick-ass, rough-town bars in movies, when the wrong crowd walks in looking for a fight...
