Tons of aggressive, energy-packed cuts fill this second release from the band, as the group mixes its shouty, semi-death vocals with standard-metal distortion. The music is Priest-like at times, while adding in the double-bass fuel of bands like Slayer and Sodom. Good stuff.
A couple of pounding, piledriving tracks show up in "Devil Gate Ride" and "Blitzkrieg Witchcraft," while several others are fast and wide-open: "Executioner," "Rebel Angel," and "Total Satan".
The slower pace of "Dead Man's Song" displays sludge and crunch, and the longer, disc-closing "Killing Star" is dotted with strong sections.
