Raunchy distortion and grooves, along the lines of the Cult or a stripped-down L.A. Guns. Vocally, an energetic Jim Morrison of the Doors is brought to mind, as well as the crooners for the above-mentioned bands. Nice bar chord, in-your-face heavy rock.
Album opener "Motor" has a great groove-and-flow mix. The drive of "Heart Attack" is strong, as is the chunkiness of "Machine."
The heavy and slashing "Backseat Mama" is raw, as are the energetic "Turn Up the Jams" and "Needles".
In all, a nice and tasty listen if you're in the mood for rhythm and no-nonsense rock.
