Cinderella--Long Cold Winter (1988/Polygram)
Rating--7.3
**U.S. Sales Certification--Multi-Platinum 3**

More blues-rock based than the debut. Some of the distortion has waned, and much of the punch n' crunch. As a result, you have a bit of a raw, Kiss/Nugent feel in places. Still an ok style, but the previous was much better.
The bluesy and driving "Fallin' Apart At the Seams" is one of the album's best cuts, and is followed up by the pull-off riff base of "Gypsy Road". The band's older style shines through on tracks "Second Wind" and "Fire and Ice".
"Coming Home" is a good slower song, with strong singing, and "The Last Mile," "If You Don't Like It," and "Take Me Back" all have their high points as well.
Overall a slightly above-average release, but the change in direction (distortion wise) is a bit puzzling. But then again they didn't ask for my input while recording, did they?
