Cage - Unveiled (1998/Omega)

Shoot to Kill-mp3

Cage is a very traditional-sounding metal act from San Diego. Comparisons can be made to Judas Priest, Jag Panzer, and the like. Vocalist Sean Peck provides some good, deep-throated singing, and the band drenches their metal in bar chords and distortion.
The chunky chorus of opener "Shoot to Kill" makes it stand out, with "Devil Inside" being another top highlight. "Buried in the Box" has a sliding sludge groove, "Unveiled" is a slow cooker, and "Disaster" is sharp near album's end.
Other good tracks include "Modern Darkness," "Dancing Around the Fire," and "Nomad".
