Kill the Devil-mp3

This is the third straight strong offering from the San Diego boys, and this release shows them branching out somewhat from the pure chord-work that dominated the first two albums. The songs have more Power Metal fluidity now-without losing any of their strength. Small splashes of Black Metal vocals are thrown in from time to time (maybe 5% of the total), making this a varied release. Still, though, the band toes the line between cutting-edge and traditional Power, and work their trade well.
Virtually every song has its high points. "Kill the Devil" has a pounding double-bass pace to start you off, with the back-swaying "Chupacabra" following. "Secret of Fatima" has a rolling, contagious pace, and the aptly-titled "March of the Cage" is a slow churner.
"Eyes of Obsidian" is good and steady, "Door to the Unknown" is solid, and a number of the others tracks are of a faster nature, such as "Blood of the Innocent," "White Magic," and "Philadelphia Experiment".
