Out of Reach--RealAudio

This band consists of former Savatage vocalist Zach Stevens and four seemingly random musicians, but every song on here was co-written by Stevens with either Jon Oliva or Chris Caffery--giving the project a very distinct "Savatage" feel. How distinct? This could of be seamlessly nestled amongst 'Edge of Thorns', 'Handful of Rain', and 'Wake of Magellan', or the songs broken up amongst each of them. The music is heavy and cutting, but it also breathes and flows with a strong, fluid vibe. A solid offering.
The strong opener "Out of Reach" has an excellent chorus, with "Sea of White" featuring a light/heavy mix. Tracks such as "Into the Wind" and "Walls" feature that patented 90s 'Tage sound of pianos and a big chorus, with all of "Lies," "The Circle," "F.O.S.," and the title track being good as well.
