Black Sabbath - Technical Ecstasy (1977/Warner Brothers)
Rating - 4.0

This album marks the beginning of the end for the Ozzy era of Sabbath, and features a more contemporary and less dark & doomy sound. To further create discord, there are several really bad tracks featured - which unfortunately outweigh the couple of decent ones. A largely forgettable disc, with mainly forgettable selections.
Some good guitar parts help to save "Gypsy," and the semi-psychedelic flow of "All Moving Parts (Stand Still)" has a good bass-kept rhythm. "Dirty Woman" is ok at times, but there’s not much else to speak of -- with songs like "It’s Alright" and "Rock n’ Roll Doctor" being horrid.
