Black Sabbath--Sabotage (1975/Warner Brothers)
Rating--6.8

A mixed bag from the Sabs, as there are some heavy thudders, a few psychadelic twinges, and also some light, almost distortion-less moments.
The doom-groove romp of "Hole in the Sky" is a prelude to Trouble, while the lively toned-down drive of "Symptom of the Universe" is one of the band's lesser-staples. The long "Megalomania" has a mid-track pickup, and the Ozzman wails throughout disc closer "The Writ".
A decent release overall; some shining moments, but not the band's best.
