Blaze--Tenth Dimension (2002/SPV )
Rating--8.6

End Dream--RealAudio
Bayley's second solo-band release following his departure from Maiden, and at this point he has definitely developed his own sound. This solid release crackles with more vitality than the last, and is an admirable Power Metal offering. The production is tasty as well, as Andy Sneap (of Nevermore fame) controls the knobs.
The cranking "End Dream" is a top spot, and after a slow start "Nothing Will Stop Me" kicks in with a lurching chorus.
The title song is solid, and other good cuts include "Kill and Destroy," "Leap of Faith," "Stealing Time," and "Speed of Light".
If you've been holding out on getting any of Blaze's material because of the bad taste the Maiden experience left you with, don't wait any longer. This is light years ahead of pretty much anything he did with Maiden, and worth your attention.
