Bon Jovi--Keep the Faith (1992/Mercury)
Rating--7.3
There's actually a decent spackling of good songs here, but overall this is a bit of a different direction from the band's early roots. Some tracks still feature heavier
platforms, while in other places there is little distortion to speak of.
The meatier cuts include "If I Was Your Mother," "Woman in Love," and "Fear," while all of "In
These Arms," "I Want You," "Blame it on the Love of Rock & Roll," and the title track are decent showings.
"Bed of Roses" is a good piano-based ballad, and "I'll
Sleep When I'm Dead," though not being terribly heavy, has a funky little flow.
