Bon Jovi--7800* Fahrenheit (1985/Mercury)
Rating--7.3

A bit more vitality and flow is shown here than on the debut, as improvement continues. This disc has many near-breakout qualities (for the day), but ultimately just misses in putting the band over the top.
"In and Out of Love" was a good single for the band, and "Always Run to You" features a heavy little drive. Other decent tracks show up in "The Price of Love," "Only Lonely," "The Hardest Part is the Night," and "Secret Dreams".
The semi-ballad "Silent Night" has some strong mood sections, and serves as yet another precursor to the band's big 1987 breakthrough.
