Attacker - Second Coming (1988/Mercenary)
Rating - 7.4

Attacker originated in New Jersey, playing a brand of speed/thrash somewhat similar to Forbidden and some ‘Mirror Black’ era Sanctuary. The vocals here remind a bit of Warrel Dane circa 1989; all in all, this is a slightly above-average release for the genre.
Opening track "Lords of Thunder" is a good starting point, with both "Desecration" and "Revelations of Evil" showing promise later on. The almost Maideny instrumental "Octagon" is a nice change of pace.
The band had one earlier album in 1985, and would eventually reform in 2004 for a comeback offering.
