Considering the stellar tracklist, more should be expected from this disc. The barn burners are there, but the band just doesn't come through in top form, unfortunately. At least, not on every one....
Included in this collection is a rip-roaring, crowd-infested version of "Walk This Way"-- perhaps the best recording of the song anywhere in the group's catalog. Pure fire and smoke.
The underrated "Movin' Out" displays a nice churn, but many tunes simply come up a little short, including "Back in the Saddle" (big dissapointment), "Draw the Line," and "Same Old Song and Dance". These are still good, but knowing Aerosmith the way we do, they could have been better.
Still worth it for "Walk This Way," though....
