Agent Steel - Order of the Illuminati (2003/The End)
Rating - 7.9

California's Agent Steel has always brought a blend of power/thrash metal to the table, and this release is no different. There's some very good music here, but the higher-end vocals can get a little trying at times (as was the case with several of the early thrash units, by the way). There are lots of good, intermixed riffs and chops, but not a lot of solid and complete songs, unfortunately. Still, a respectable, energetic release.
"Earth Under Lucifer" has an especially strong chorus, and "Apocalypse" is a steady back-mover. Other good tracks include "Ten Fists of Nations," "Enslaved," "Forever Black," and "Dead Eyes."
