Resurrection--RealAudio
The second release from this semi-supergroup, this one is thankfully much better than the debut. There's just way too much talent here between Lande and Ostby to go untapped, so an improvement was definitely expected. However, both of these guys have produced better material in their other endeavers--Lande with Millenium, his solo offerings, etc., and Ostby with Conception and D.C. Cooper. So that part of the collaboration is still a bit puzzling, as you halfway expect these two to eventually crank out one of the top power/prog albums of the past ten years or so. But it hasn't happened yet...
A lurching chorus in "Heal the Waters" starts things off right, and the melodic/heavy mix and harmonic action of "Resurrection" is solid.
"Just a Little" has a Spanish feel, "Missing You" starts out very light before evolving into a heavy and slashing closer, and both "Noose" and the title track are good.
