Anthrax--State of Euphoria (1988)
Rating--7.9
**U.S. Sales Certification--Gold**

More subtle changes in the band's style and sound. The stop-and-go riffs are still evident, but the spontanuity (and as a result, the energy level) is down a little bit more. Strong rhythm sections are still found on songs such as "Be All, End All," "Out of Sight, Out of Mind," and "Now It's Dark," but the songs--while still very heavy--are more commercial sounding than the band's previous offerings. Another strong cut is "Antisocial," which got a decent amount of video time back in the day.
