Shining--RealAudio

This Finnish band has gone through several transformations in its career, from Death Metal to Doom to semi-goth. This release finds them in a gothic light, with shades of ambient music as well. Very atmosphere-laden, at times reminding of early Ayreon.
"The Way" has a smooth feel to it, with "Shining" being a strong cut. "Greed" displays some more aggressive vocals, with both "Morning Star" and "Divinity" being notables. "Withered" is yet another song that moves with atmosphere.
