Leader of the Rats--RealAudio

The band begins to show an even stronger detail to riffs than before, as their style of music morphs somewhere between melodic death and power. Heavy and etched guitar work is on display at every turn; the band has some aggression like early Slayer, riffwork of mid-90s In Flames, and the distortion of recent Soilwork. Good stuff. Hottie Angela Gassow remains on vox.
The driving rhythm of "Leader of the Rats" makes it a standout, while "Exist to Exit" is strong as well. "Despicable Heroes" is a full-tilt pieces, while selections such as "End of the Line" and "Dehumanization" feature some smooth background vocals, which again bring to mind Soilwork.
Other good cuts include "Instinct," "Saints and Sinners," and the gothic keys of "We Will Rise".
