Accept - Restless & Wild (1983/Portrait)
Rating - 8.0

Back in the early '80s Accept churned out a cranky Maiden-ish style of metal, but with a deeper low-end. The music is somewhat similar to same-era Grim Reaper, and Udo's gravelly voice would be a precursor to his country mates Grave Digger. A solid release in the early stages of power metal.
The appropriately titled "Fast as a Shark" was indeed a swift mover, especially for its time. The title track is strong, and matches up well with other goodies such as "Flash Rockin' Man" and "Don't Go Stealing My Soul Away".
"Neon Nights" is slower and atmospheric with some good chorus singing, and "Princess of the Dawn" is another excellent, mid-paced atmospheric mover.
