Accept--Metal Heart (1985/CBS)
Rating--7.9
Metal Heart--RealAudio
Following the spackling of success of the previous album, Accept returns, hoping to push its way to the top. What results
is another solid release, but the band never broke through in the way they had hoped. A number of strong songs and sections
highlight this disc, as it's basically more of the same from Udo and the boys. The title track has a strong guitar-driven beat to start things
off, and the only real break from action is the somewhat polished (but still good) lead video "Midnight Mover". "Wrong is Right"
features a frantic, Rage-ish riff, as do "Living For Tonite" and "Bound to Fail". Other sections remind of
Dio, such as the 'Sacred Heart'-tinged "Screaming For a Love-Bite". "Teach Us to Survive" showcases a
spooky, atmospheric little riff that shows the band's expanse. In all, some really solid cuts.
